Safety & Compliance

A safety-first approach, from planning through to dismantling.

Safety Starts with Careful Planning

At Alton Scaffolding, safety is considered from the outset of every project. We look at the site, the work being carried out and the scaffolding requirements before installation, helping ensure the arrangement is appropriate for the job.

With more than 17 years’ industry experience and qualified scaffolding personnel within the team, we bring practical knowledge and attention to detail to every stage of the work.

How We Approach Safety

Site-Specific Planning

We consider the building, working environment, access and requirements of the project before scaffolding is installed.

Competent Personnel

Alton is led by a qualified scaffolder and works with other qualified scaffolding personnel.

Careful Erection & Dismantling

The scaffold is approached with the same attention to detail whether it is being erected, adapted or dismantled.

Clear Communication

We keep communication straightforward with clients, contractors and other trades, particularly where project requirements change.

Safety Within the
Wider Site

Scaffolding forms part of a much larger construction environment. Other contractors, trades and site activities may need to work around it.

Our approach is therefore practical and collaborative, with the aim of ensuring the scaffolding works effectively alongside the wider project.

Building Our Compliance Credentials

Alton Scaffolding is continuing to develop its formal company accreditations as the business grows. At present, the company does not hold formal accreditations, but these are being worked towards.

We believe that safety starts with the fundamentals: competent people, careful planning, appropriate scaffolding and attention to detail.
